This is the second time within a month that I've stayed awake for ungodly hours to draw Mass Effect fan art. Do I have a problem?

Either way, here's something I had to do after witnessing BioWare's downright disgraceful treatment of Thane's romance arc. Why, BioWare, why?

This one's inspired by Thane's line in ME2 when talking about vacations "I'd very much like to see a desert," he says. Neither he nor Shepard has time for vacations when huge, robot monster squids attack, though. This is the best she can do... circumstances being what they are.

I was thinking of making two or more of these and put in more "frames", making it more like a comic. However, I coincidentally learned about the Thane Fanbook Project during the process, so I decided to contribute and keep it like this due to the limited time frame. I might do another version if I still need to get it out of my system.

PS. I cried like a silly babby and had to put down the controller for a few minutes when you-know-what happened. I wasn't even romancing Thane in my first playthrough! D:
Awesome writing right there (unlike the romance).

Used Photoshop CS5 and Wacom tablet + a crapload of screenshots for reference.

I am a die-hard fangirl of the Shrios romance arc(even did an INCREDIBLY fluffy fanfic of it where he doesn't die, doesn't have Kepral's, gets to be and stay happy, etc., if you want the link, PM me, I'd be happy to share the luff of fluff.), and I totally agree with you, they completely SCREWED poor Thane in ME3. I saw this and choked up, and I admit it, a fangirl tear or two was shed.

Very much so, it was my desktop background for 3 days (and I usually change it every 5 minutes so that should tell you something), thoroughly enjoyed it, and was almost brought to tears every time I minimized a window! love love love!
